Motion Experiment
Welcome! Thank you for participating in our study.
Important, before you begin:
Please do this experiment on a laptop or desktop computer. If you are viewing this experiment on a phone or a tablet, please close the window and return later with a nonmobile device.
Click 'continue' to enter the full screen mode and begin the experiment.
What will happen:
At the beginning of each trial, a circle made up of 16 triangles on its perimeter will be presented in the middle of the screen.
One of the triangles will be white, indicating it is the tracking target and the rest will be red.
The white triangle will then turn red to match the others, and the triangles will move around the circle.
What will you do:
1. Keep your eyes in the middle of the screen as the triangles move, and track the one that turned white.
2. When the triangles stop moving, use your mouse to click the target you were tracking. If you are not sure, take your best guess, but please still click a triangle.
3. The triangle you clicked will be marked as black, and the correct triangle will be marked as white for your reference.
4. When you are ready to move on to next trial, click the 'next' button.
Click 'start training' when you are ready to practice some trials.
Training is now complete. The experiment is about to start. The experiment will take around 25 mintues.
Click 'start experiment' when you are ready. Remember, your job is to click the target at the end of a trial.
The experiment is finished. Please click 'submit' to submit your data. Thank you!
